Share your Voice for Trans Health Equity - Survey and Paid Interview Opportunity
A team of trans, queer, and cis allies at Brown University, Fenway Health, Yale, and the VA is currently recruiting trans people with Medicare and/or Medicaid to share their experiences by completing a survey about their everyday lives, including their health and healthcare. Findings from this needs assessment study will be used to educate policymakers, healthcare workers, and the broader community about the health needs and concerns of the trans community and advocate for legal protections and better access to care with the goal of improving the health and well-being of trans people in the U.S.
The needs assessment survey takes about 35 minutes. If you are eligible, you can complete the survey online or call the team, and they can ask you the questions. If you are eligible and take the survey, you will have the choice of being entered into a raffle and the chance to win one of 54 gift cards ranging in value from $10 to $250. Some people will also be asked to do a paid follow-up interview if they are interested.
You may be eligible to participate in this survey if you are:
Transgender, genderqueer, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and/or have a gender identity that is different from your assigned sex at birth
Are 18 years of age or older
Have lived in the United States for 3 months in the past year
Had Medicare or Medicaid in the past year

Share your Name Change Story
Trans, two-spirit, non-binary, intersex, agender, and genderfluid folx are invited to share their name-choosing stories; I do not ask that they share current or previous names nor any other identifying personal information. From these stories, I will publish a workbook including activities, prompts for self-reflection and journaling, and other creative exercises. I will not share or publish submitted stories — only broad themes that emerge from the full collection of name stories.
