Our WOrk
603 Equality was founded in 2023 to address the need for LGBTQIA advocacy in New Hampshire. In recent years, trans people have increasingly come under attack and have been targeted with many discriminatory bills all across the country. In NH, the number of anti-lgbtqia+ bills has doubled from 2025 to 2026. Additionally, we’ve seen coordinated efforts to erode the rights and civil liberties for folks within the LGBTQIA+ community, and attempts to sow fear and misunderstanding. Now, more than ever, we need to acknowledge the interconnectedness of human rights, the intersection of identity, and make the case for why supporting and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community in New Hampshire will enrich the lives of all Granite Staters.
Policy
603 Equality engages in limited electoral work to support candidates who will be the best allies to the LGBTQIA+ community, and foster understanding and inclusion for our community to engage with those candidates in meaningful ways. Our electoral work includes:
Acting as a trusted advisor on policy issues that impact the LGBTQIA+ community to candidates.
Connecting and engaging our community on policy issues and candidate alignment on those issues.
Educating and informing the public about candidates’ records on LGBTQIA+ issues.
603 Equality engages in non-partisan, issues-based advocacy to support legislation that empowers the LGBTQIA+ community to live to their full capacity within the Granite State, contributing to their local economies, and enriching their local communities by living their fully authentic lives. Our advocacy work includes:
Acting as a trusted advisor on policy issues that impact the LGBTQIA+ community to elected officials.
Working to sway political and public discourse about proposed and pending legislation to advance the rights and safety of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Educating and informing community stakeholders about potential outcomes of proposed policy.
This advocacy work is derived from our policy framework.
COMMUNITY
Education and Community empowerment are central to our mission. We aim to empower the LGBTQIA+ community through a variety of experiences, and educate all Granite Staters on issues and policies that impact their lives, and disproportionately harm the LGBTQIA+ community. Our hope is to build a sense of connection between all, to humanize and highlight the lived experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community, and to inform those who live in New Hampshire how they can engage in meaningful change. We do this work in partnership with a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor through three ways:
Safety and Resiliency are important cornerstones to the work we’re doing, so that LGBTQIA+ and allied Granite Staters can envision a safe and secure future for themselves and their loved ones in the state. These programs help to empower those within the LGBTQIA+ community to build mental, emotional, and physical strength and resilience, build strong community connections, and real-world skills in a supportive environment.
