Legislative Update

There are a lot of updates for this week.

This is the time for us to be more visible than ever so please join us at the state house at 9am on Thursday, the 20th, to show our reps that we will not stop fighting for our rights. Help us get the word out that trans people belong in whatever bathroom, locker room, or sports team that we want.

The Senate Committees has recommended that the full senate pass SB 38, SB 268, SB 96, and SB 211. The House HHS committee has voted to pass HB 377 and HB 712.

One amendment was added to HB 712 that added on other surgeries—"Gender surgery" includes genital gender reassignment surgery, transgender chest surgery as defined in RSA 329:52, VI, facial feminization or masculinization surgery, and/or removal of the reproductive organs for the purposes of gender identity including hysterectomy, oophorectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy, and/or orchiectomy.

For anyone who is able to stay and watch the votes from the gallery, please send your names to linds@603equality.org so they can have you announced as guests of our trans reps. These names will be read at the beginning of the session, so the House knows that we are watching.

Below, you will find an updated table about the bills 603 Equality is currently tracking.
